Job Description: Custodian (focus on cleaning and serving others)
(Part-Time, 20 hours per week, $10-$12 per hour)
MISSION: To support the staff and ministries of Fellowship Church by taking care of our facilities, supporting use of the building for mission, and carrying out cleaning and basic maintenance duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning, etc.)
Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
Stock and maintain supply rooms.
Cooperate and assist staff, congregation, and community in the use of the facility.
Follow health and safety best practices.
Notify Minister of Operations and Ministry Implementation of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs.
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Carry out or coordinate heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
Make adjustments and minor repairs
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
Ability to work in both a self-directed manner and as part of a collaborative team.
Ability to take initiative, manage multiple tasks and meet daily and weekly priorities with minimum supervision.
Enjoy and embrace interruptions.
Ability to operate and manage cleaning equipment.
Ability to lift 20-50 pounds.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets.
Be fully committed to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
Understand role as a ministry of support, hospitality, and service.
Embrace a missional and team-based approach to ministry and join the Staff Leadership Team in living out the Staff Covenant.
Be an active member of Fellowship Reformed Church congregation. (preferred)
Experience as a cleaner.
Administratively, the Office Manager is accountable to Consistory (the Ministry Leadership Council and Human Resource Team) through the Minister of Operations and Ministry Implementation. An annual self-evaluation will be conducted by the Supervisor and one member of the Human Resource Team.
Programmatically, the Office Manager supports and works in partnership with the staff, and specifically with the Minister of Operations and Ministry Implementation.
