  • HSM Summer Serve – The group is on its way to Rosebud, South Dakota to put on summer camps and help with community service. Please pray for this team this week as they work together and grow closer to God through this experience.

  • Thank you – The Mission Crew would like to offer a heartfelt thanks to everyone who gave in so many generous ways to help us meet and fulfill our Mission givings!  We continue to give thanks to God for all the opportunities that are presented to us to bring glory and recognition to Christ as we serve together locally, nationally and globally.  We are excited to see what God has in store for us together in this upcoming fiscal year! 

  • Back to School Box – Bethany Christian Services holds an annual Family Picnic/Back to School event for foster and adoptive children as well as their families. Each child receives a new backpack full of new school supplies, donated by local churches and a few local businesses. Please see the collection box in the Concourse for the most needed items this year. THANK YOU for helping us provide school supplies for these foster and adoptive kids!

  • Donation needed – We are making a special craft project at Pine Acres for Meet Up & Eat Up in August. To make this possible, we need your help to collect 20 oz. Gatorade bottles. We need 50 of them. Please put empty bottles in a plastic bag and place them in one of the grocery carts by the Hand2Hand donation bins. Thank you!!

  • Flowers in the Sanctuary – in memory of Jeff Altena who passed away July 11, 2007.

  • Town Hall Meeting – at 9am in MC34/35. We are planning to move to two services for the fall and would like your feedback. 
  • Good Samaritan Volunteer Opportunities – The Good Samaritan Crew addresses requests for assistance that come in to the church. This crew is looking for volunteers to periodically assist with a variety of activities. Please sign up on the yellow postcards provided in the pews or at the Welcome Center.

  • Yarn Donations Requested – The Knitting/Sewing Missional Community is in need of yarn, any color and any brand. Gift cards are also happily accepted.

  • Holy Land Engagement Tour with the Vises! – November 5-18, 2016. Great itinerary and great price ($3750 all inclusive with flight out of Chicago)!   • Good Samaritan Ministries is preparing for our 2nd Annual Wild Run, which will be held August 20th, 2016! – This is an obstacle run for kids ages 4-13 that will be held on the Macatawa Greenway System at Ridge Point Community Church. All of the obstacles will be provided and built by local companies. Registration is open now, and we will be accepting new runners until the day of the race.  All profits will go to our youth programming here at Good Samaritan Ministries.
